I´m back! - With a new Direction..

Life has a way of making plans for us long before we make them ourselves.

When I stepped away from the blogging world a few years ago, I had no intention of returning — and certainly not as an author.

I still love my garden, but finally, I had to realize that blogging simply took up too much of my time.
I had to prioritize.

Becoming a writer was never a dream of mine, no hidden ambition waiting to surface. It all began, like so many things in life, by pure coincidence.

One evening, I stumbled upon an old documentary from the 1980s. A story of two brothers. One of them is known — infamous, even — as one of the early architects of what we now call Nazism. The other, his younger brother, was almost forgotten. But his life struck me with unexpected force.

While one brother became a symbol of hatred, the other devoted his life to the opposite: helping persecuted people, smuggling them out of concentration camps, supporting the resistance in secret, and giving away everything he owned to save innocent lives — in a conflict his own brother had helped create.

I couldn’t let go of his story. I read everything I could find. And eventually, I discovered that his family carried an equally astonishing, almost unbelievable history. It felt like opening a door to a world I hadn’t realized I’d been missing.

This has resulted in a trilogy titled: The Wolves we Feed

1) The Path to the Mist of Oblivion

2) Memento Mori, Brother

3) George Munger’s Brief Life

And that’s how it started. Not as a goal, but as an impulse. A story that refused to let me go until I wrote it down.

Today, I’m sitting here with my first book published — and a new direction for this blog.

From now on, I’ll be writing about books. About the worlds of historical fiction that open windows into the past. About the lives and destinies that shaped us, and the ordinary people who often disappear in the shadows of the famous names. I’ll share what I read, what I learn, what I wonder about — and perhaps a little about the journey ahead as a newly minted author.

So yes: I’m back. With a new focus, a new voice, and a passion I didn’t know I had until life nudged me in the right direction.

Welcome to the stories — and welcome back to my corner of the world.
